This page explains what changes when you connect your Wolfore account to a Studio. You agree to it when you accept a Studio’s request, and it sits alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which continue to cover your own account.
A Studio is whoever trains you. It might be a gym, or a single coach programming for you remotely while you train somewhere else entirely. We call it a Studio throughout, and it means the same thing either way: the business or trainer you have connected to.
Why this is separate. Connecting to a Studio is not just a settings change. It gives real people, your trainers, access to your training, and it means your Studio holds its own record of you as their client. Some of that record stays with them even if you later delete your Wolfore account. That is a meaningful change, so we ask you to agree to it on its own rather than burying it in the main terms.
While you are an active member of a Studio’s roster, its staff can see your name and email, your training activity in Wolfore (workouts, sets, personal records and session notes), any exercises you have created for yourself, meaning the name and how the exercise is set up, and the programs they build for you.
They cannot see programs you build for yourself, and they cannot see anything at all before you accept. If you decline a request, the Studio learns only that you declined.
Your Studio agrees, in writing under the Wolfore Studio Agreement, to use your training data only to provide training services to you. They may not sell it, share it outside the Studio, or use it to build anything else.
This is the part worth reading twice, because it is where most services are vague.
Yours: your account, your training history, your sets, your personal records, your notes, and any programs you write for yourself. You can export all of it at any time, and you keep it whether you are connected to a Studio or not.
The Studio’s: the programs its trainers write for you, its internal notes about you, and the roster record itself, meaning your name and the email address they hold for you. That is their business record of a client, much like an entry in a spreadsheet or a filing cabinet. It is theirs to keep or delete, under their own obligations.
The programs are the one thing you both keep. If you leave, are removed, or the Studio closes, you keep your own copy of the programs its trainers wrote for you, along with any exercises they used that were the Studio’s. That is deliberate: without them, the workouts in your history would no longer make sense. The Studio keeps its copy too. Yours is yours to edit or delete like anything else you own.
You can leave a Studio’s roster at any time from your profile. You do not need their permission and you do not need to explain why. The Studio can also disconnect you.
Either way, your trainers immediately stop seeing your training data. You keep your account and everything in it, plus your copy of the programs they wrote for you. The Studio keeps a past member record, meaning your name, your email, and its own copy of those programs, until they choose to remove it.
If you rejoin later, your trainers see your training as it stands then, including anything you logged elsewhere in between. That is deliberate: a trainer writing you a new program needs your current lifts, not the ones from the day you left.
Your Studio can email you two kinds of message, and they work differently.
This email is sent through Wolfore on your Studio’s behalf. We do not sell your address to anyone, and it is never shared with another Studio.
Everything of yours is deleted — your training history, your personal records, your notes, your own programs. That is covered by our Privacy Policy and it applies whether or not you belong to a Studio.
Your Studio keeps its client record: your name, the email address it holds for you, and its copy of the programs its trainers wrote for you. We cannot delete that on your behalf, because it is not ours. It is their record of someone who trained with them, and they may have their own reasons and obligations to keep it.
When you delete your account, we will offer to stop marketing email from every Studio you belong to at the same time. If you want a Studio to remove its record of you entirely, ask them directly. If they do not act on it, email us at support@wolfore.com and we will help.
Studios must have verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian before creating a Wolfore record for anyone under 18, covering both the training and the account. Our Terms of Service require parental consent for any use by someone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you were not asked, tell the Studio and let us know.
Studios pay to use Wolfore. If yours cancels, or its subscription lapses, its staff can no longer see your training or write programs for you. That happens straight away.
Nothing of yours is deleted. Your account, your history and your records are untouched, and if you have your own Wolfore subscription you carry on exactly as before.
Your Studio then has 90 days to resubscribe. If it does, everything picks up where it left off, including your place on its roster. If it does not, its records are permanently deleted, including its record of you. You keep your Wolfore account, your training history, your records, and your copy of the programs its trainers wrote for you.
After that, your Wolfore account is simply your own, under our standard Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Your Studio is no longer keeping it open for you, so you will need your own subscription to keep using the app, and we will email you well before anything is deleted.
Deleting is not the same as cancelling. It happens immediately and there is no 90 days. The Studio’s records are gone at once. You keep your Wolfore account, your training history, your records, and your copy of the programs its trainers wrote for you.
If we make material changes, we will update the date above and ask you to review and accept the new version before you continue using Wolfore with a Studio.
